Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career with a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in the year 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia has started her professional journey in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. It was also the WMC World Championships were also held in 2016, and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round by TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating the record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She returned with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina made use of superior striking and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Following this victory Antonina was offered the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
