A Pennsylvania resident, Kolber received her graduate degree at her alma mater, the University of Miami. In New York City, she started her career as a CBS Sports Video Coordinator. She received an Sports Emmy while working for WTVJ-TV Miami. She was employed at WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach.
